// How to chose the right snowboard for you

When deciding which snowbard is right for you a few factors apply. You want to think about what is your style? What is your height and how good can you drive?

Style

There basically four different kinds of snowboards. Freeride, Freestyle, Jib boards, Race boards.
If you are looking to do just about anything and can’t really decided if you wan to do parks, hit kickers and rails, drive in deep powder or just casually drive down the slopes you are going to want a freeride board. Freeride boards are all-around boards (they are often called All-Mountain Boards). These boards are built so that you can do everything you want with them.
If you think that you are going to do tricks mainly you will either want to chose a Freestyle or a Jib board. Freestyle boards are usually a bit stiffer then Jib boards and are built more for kickers, while Jib boards are usually very good for slopestyle.
If you want to go racing down the hill then you should chose a Race board (who would have thought). These boards are very stiff and you usually can only ride them in one direction and not fakie.

Your Height

Your height will influence what kind of snowboard you want to chose. The general rule of thumb ist that if you stand up the snowboard should be between your nose and your chest. If your looking to do a lot of tricks get a slightly shorter snowboard and if your going to do a lot of freeriding and not a lot of tricks get a longer one.

Your Skill-level

Depending on you skill level the board you might want to chose will differ. Some companies offer a lot of different boards in the same category, some are more built for beginners other are for experts. Usually, it comes down to how forgiving the snowboard is to mistakes. There is really no rule of thumb there you are going to have to look trough the boards or ask an expert, or emails us.
